1. Introduction

Welcome to KiraAsing.

KiraAsing is a web-based application and digital tool that helps users calculate and split bills by manually entering bill details, uploading or scanning receipts, assigning items to different people, and sharing payment summaries through third-party messaging platforms such as WhatsApp.

By accessing or using KiraAsing, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, please stop using the service immediately.

2. Definitions

"KiraAsing", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the operator of KiraAsing.

"User", "you", or "your" refers to any person who accesses or uses KiraAsing.

"Service" refers to the KiraAsing website, progressive web app, receipt scanning feature, bill calculation tool, sharing feature, and related services.

"Receipt Data" refers to any receipt image, bill amount, item list, tax, service charge, names, payment notes, or other information entered, uploaded, scanned, or processed through KiraAsing.

"Payment Summary" refers to the calculated split amount generated by KiraAsing for sharing with others.

3. Use of the Service

KiraAsing is designed to assist users in calculating and sharing bill-splitting information. You may use KiraAsing to:

• Upload or scan receipts.
• Manually enter bill items and prices.
• Add names or labels for people involved in the bill.
• Assign items to individuals or groups.
• Calculate equal or itemised bill splits.
• Generate a payment summary.
• Share the summary via WhatsApp or other external platforms.

You agree to use KiraAsing only for lawful, personal, or legitimate business purposes.

4. No Payment Processing

Unless clearly stated otherwise, KiraAsing does not process, hold, transfer, collect, or settle money on behalf of users. KiraAsing only helps generate bill calculations and payment summaries. Any actual payment, transfer, reimbursement, DuitNow transfer, bank transfer, cash payment, or e-wallet transaction is handled outside KiraAsing between the relevant users.

We are not responsible for:

• Failed payments.
• Incorrect bank transfers.
• Wrong recipient details.
• Payment disputes between users.
• Delayed or unpaid reimbursements.
• Any financial loss caused by relying on a shared payment summary.

5. Accuracy of Calculations

KiraAsing aims to provide accurate bill calculations. However, the accuracy of the result depends on the information entered, uploaded, scanned, corrected, or confirmed by the user. Receipt scanning, OCR, AI-assisted extraction, or automated recognition may not always detect receipt details correctly. You are responsible for checking and confirming all details before sharing or using the calculation.

We do not guarantee that:

• All receipt images will be read correctly.
• All item names, prices, taxes, discounts, rounding, or service charges will be captured accurately.
• The final calculation will be error-free if the input data is incomplete or incorrect.

You should always review the calculated amount before making or requesting payment.

6. User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring that all information entered into KiraAsing is accurate.
• Reviewing receipt details before confirming a split.
• Obtaining permission before uploading receipts that may contain another person's personal information.
• Sharing payment summaries responsibly.
• Ensuring that any payment request made to others is fair, lawful, and accurate.
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

You must not use KiraAsing to:

• Commit fraud or misrepresentation.
• Harass, threaten, or pressure others into making payments.
• Upload illegal, offensive, harmful, or misleading content.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or misuse the Service.
• Upload receipts or information that you do not have the right to use.

7. Receipt Uploads and Content

When you upload a receipt or enter bill information, you grant KiraAsing a limited right to process that information for the purpose of providing the Service. This may include:

• Reading receipt images.
• Extracting text or item data.
• Calculating bill splits.
• Generating a shareable summary.
• Temporarily storing session data where needed to provide the Service.

You remain responsible for the content you upload or enter. We may remove or restrict access to any content that we believe violates these Terms or may create legal, security, or operational risk.

8. Sharing Through Third-Party Platforms

KiraAsing may allow users to share payment summaries through external platforms such as WhatsApp, messaging apps, or other third-party services. When you share content through a third-party platform, your use of that platform is subject to that third party's own terms and privacy policy.

We are not responsible for:

• How WhatsApp or other third-party platforms process shared content.
• Whether a message is delivered successfully.
• Any modification, forwarding, misuse, or disclosure of the shared summary after it leaves KiraAsing.
• Any communication dispute between users.

9. Account Registration

KiraAsing may allow guest usage without account registration. Certain future features may require an account, such as saved bill history, frequent groups, payment tracking, premium features, or subscription access.

If you create an account, you are responsible for providing accurate registration information, keeping your login details secure, and all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Subscription or Paid Features

KiraAsing may offer free and paid features in the future. Paid features may include, but are not limited to:

• Additional receipt scans.
• Bill history and group saving.
• Premium OCR or AI-assisted extraction.
• Export features.
• Ad-free experience.
• Advanced payment tracking.

Any pricing, payment terms, renewal terms, refund policy, or cancellation process will be displayed before purchase. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, fees paid for digital services may be non-refundable once the service has been accessed or used.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in KiraAsing, including the name, logo, interface, design, software, content, graphics, branding, features, and technology, belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, or exploit any part of KiraAsing without our written permission. You may use the Service only for its intended purpose.

12. Beta, Experimental, or AI Features

Some features may be experimental, including OCR, AI-assisted receipt extraction, smart item detection, bill recommendations, or automated categorisation. These features may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or unexpected results.

You agree that such features are provided for convenience only and should not be treated as financial, legal, tax, accounting, or professional advice.

13. Disclaimer

KiraAsing is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, or that receipt scanning will always be accurate. KiraAsing is a bill calculation and sharing tool only. It is not a licensed financial service, payment gateway, bank, e-wallet, credit provider, money transfer service, accounting service, or legal advisory service.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or financial loss arising from your use of KiraAsing. This includes loss arising from:

• Incorrect bill calculations or receipt scanning.
• Wrong payment details or payment disputes.
• Failure to receive payment or reliance on generated summaries.
• Data loss or service interruption.
• Third-party platform issues.
• Unauthorised access caused by user negligence.

Your use of KiraAsing is at your own risk.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KiraAsing, its owners, operators, employees, contractors, partners, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your uploaded or entered content, your misuse of payment summaries, any dispute between you and other users or payers, or any violation of law or third-party rights.

16. Service Availability

We may update, suspend, modify, or discontinue any part of KiraAsing at any time without prior notice. We are not responsible if the Service is unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, internet failure, third-party service interruption, security incidents, or events beyond our control.

17. Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to KiraAsing if we believe that you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, created risk for other users, or acted unlawfully. You may stop using KiraAsing at any time.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on kiraasing.com with a revised effective date. Your continued use of KiraAsing after the updated Terms are published means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of KiraAsing shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
